As a business owner it can be tough to remain inspired about your business, whether it’s because you have become what is called the “Technician”, AKA doing all the tasks for clients, rather than managing the business, or you just feel you are trucking along in your business, not really doing what you love any more.

Firstly, don’t worry! You are not alone in feeling this way. Entrepreneurs are usually people that thrive on new ideas, rather than carrying on with the same things each and every day. Remember when you first thought about starting this business, what did you think about, what were your driving forces behind getting started?

I dream big words on blackboard with colorful alphabets.

When you get re-inspired for your business, your clients will notice and will, in turn, become more excited about working with you. So not only are you feeling more inspired to get on with your business, your clients will want to motivate you to do it too.

So, what are my top tips for getting inspired again?

  1. Take time for your business. Yes, this can seem like a big ask, and I’m not saying you should instantly start taking every Wednesday off for business plans and brainstorming, but giving yourself set times when you have some “business thinking” time is essential. It will help you to come up with new ideas, new ways to offer more to potential customers, or even just get some marketing done that you’ve been meaning to do!
  2. Ask for some support. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. Getting support from a coach, a business partner or even a business friend is essential to helping you get some inspiration. If you go networking (which, if you don’t, you really should be), you will meet some people that just “click” with you. Offer to meet with them to have a business-brainstorming session over coffee. I know a lot of people who do this each month and by golly it’s been helpful to their business!
  3. Action your ideas! When you have had an idea, don’t just leave it at the wayside, get it actioned. If you don’t have time for doing it yourself, I do know some people (nudge nudge, wink wink) who can help you implement your ideas and get them going, so you can get on with the tasks in your business that currently make you money, so you don’t feel you are not earning enough.

These are just 3 ways to help you get inspired about your business again, how do you ensure you remain inspired?
